I just had a brainfart

Yessir, I did. Remember my little problem with law school? Well, I did some reading and found that there are 2 or 3 states in the U.S. where you can take the bar exam without going to law school. This appeals to me for many reasons, especially because the whole point of law school (3-4 years and 120,000 in loans) is to pass the bar and get a job. So why not just cut out the middle man and get to the heart of the matter? I like the direct approach.

I'm flying back to Newark (a lovely city) on Tuesday and spend a month cooling my heels-hopefully I will have something concrete by January 2006, but it looks like I will have to drastically expand the definition of Asiatown.

We don't need no education

Ahhh hell month is over. We have heard of hell week but now that I am a member of the CELTA fraternity, I can attest to hell month. 4 weeks of no sunlight, no food, no socializing, no internet- but tons of good info. Turns out this teaching English gig is more complicated than I thought. If anyone wants to wax lyrical on receptive skills, phonology, classroom management considerations, feedback sessions or the like, leave a comment. I'll tend to it after I recover.

Now comes the hard part. Work. Anyone got any?

P.S.: I'll be sure to go to this thing called outside in what is referred to as sunlight and engage in an activity called taking pictures. Promise. But not of bums. Remember how my prissy morality wound up exiling me from America? It's still there, though who knows why.
