Ladies, I need your advice
I don't know how many of those who read this blog are women, but your input would be appreciated.
Let us assume that you are in a mid-level position at a small University somewhere. Could be somewhere in Poland for all I know. And let's say your boss takes away or somehow screws up your vacation time. After hearing this, you return to your office for a meeting with someone- who could be Asiatown- maybe:
First question- would this news cause you to run up and down the hallway, half-sobbing, half-shrieking "she is not taking my vacation time!"?
Second question- would you then proceed to lock yourself in the bathroom and wail for twenty minutes in the above-described fashion?
Third- would you proceed to the meeting, in tears but no longer hysterical, and ask Asiatown in all seriousness: "What's wrong? You've never seen a woman cry before?"
And finally- what is the appropriate reaction to all this?

I took the "Awww. There, there" approach. But she was really hamming it up so I cut it short. Maybe I could have gotten some Polish lovin' with a bit more patience.
Women in distress never put out.
They're only looking for a bizarre form of reinforcement known only to the female mind.
What you should of done is, stomp on her foot, and while she was taking in that new information, deliver a brutal elbow in the face.
Kick her while she is down?
That is up to you.
Women these days have forgotten how to behaviour in an appropriate feminine manner.
If I wanted someone who behaved like a man, I'd become "Johnny Gay Arse."
But I don't. I want a woman.
And the problem is this-
Society reinforces the masculine behaviour from women.
It all comes back to a mob of lesbian feminists who would love to see a world of butch women who'll fist them till dawn.
You have a future as a women's studies professor.
And I hate being a decent human being. How can I be a dick?
Don't lie.
I have no future.
Korea perhaps?
Wait, this feeds into the no future gambit doesn't it?
"Women in distress never put out."
-- That's not entirely true.
Also, there is no appropriate reaction. If a girl is crying, then everything you do is going to be wrong. Additionally, all the things that you don't do are wrong. Just so you know.
Alternatively, you could have said, "No, I've never seen a woman cry before."

I HAVE seen a woman cry before.
I didn't like it.
