Begin the picture show (with snarky comments)

I am indebted to Noorster for calling the national bloggers contest to my attention. I couldn't sign up through their site but am with you in spirit. And so, starting tomorrow (this being a lazy kinda introductory post thingamajig), I will begin The Not Last Picture Show.
