History didn't just reach down to Texas, federal troops had to be dispatched to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation, which had been passed 2.5 years before. Just another example of revisionist history. You can read about it on my blog, Stop the Republicans.
My point was that all the things that seem so far away sometimes aren't. They do impact and influence behavior patterns to this day.
Stop the Republicans? What kind of dirty blog is that? I bet you have nightmares about Ann Coulter. ;o) Oh, the republicans are not stopping, buddy. I would love to have seen you on election day last year. But I was too busy celebrating.
